Enjoy sea-views from the living-room or be walking on the sand in 1 minute. The deck at the rear is sunny and rural with a sheltered BBQ area. Fully renovated, in keeping with it's Art Deco architecture, the gas-fire warms the living-room. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfortable (king in master/twin singles in 2nd bedroom) and OSP for 4 cars. It's a 7 minute walk to the swimming beach, cafe and dairy. Take the 16kms to Taieri Mouth for coastal scenery, fishing, walks and picnics.

Otane Cottage is at Smaills Beach with access to the Otago Peninsula and wildlife while only ten minutes from the city centre. The cottage has a stunning view and rural feel. It's close to local surf spots and if you are lucky you may get to see the southern lights (Aurora australis). Our proximity to the beach also means close encounters with the endangered NZ sealion (Pakake). In spring, its not uncommon for this majestic creature to pay a visit to the cottage. Beachaven is an idyllic retreat just meters from the beach. This historic 1913 bungalow is secluded, relaxing and peaceful. At the back gate the Otago/Otepoti shipping channel, marine reserve and salt marsh. At the front is the Pacific Ocean, abundant with wildlife, penguins, seals, sealions and birds.
