Welcome to our mountain getaway cottage! Barberry Cottage is located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills. It is located only 32 mins/22 miles from Kings Canyon National Park where you can enjoy walking among the majestic giant sequoias of General Grant Grove, relaxing at Hume Lake, or adventuring in Boyden Cavern. The cottage is also a perfect location for a peaceful getaway where you can spend time simply relaxing amidst classic California scenery: oaks, pines, and the ever-changing skies.

Our solar-powered guest cottage is an architect-designed tiny home for 2, in a peaceful rural area. It is just 28 minutes from beautiful Kings Canyon National Park. There is a view of meadows and guests are welcome to stroll the half-mile around and view the sheep, dogs and horses. Birdlife is abundant and nearby is Cat Haven ( featuring lions, snow leopards etc.). Yosemite is within reach for a day trip. We have a great coffee shop 2 minutes away! Sorry, no assistance animals (see house rules)

Book a stay at this unique, recently renovated historic ranch house on a 1,200 acre, six generation working cattle ranch. The Big Stump Entrance Station at the north end of the Sequoia & Kings Canyon Nat’l Parks and Giant Sequoia Nat’l Monument is a 30 minute drive. Guests can also explore the Giant Forest & the General Sherman Tree by using the General’s Hwy. The Baker House is conveniently located just a short 10 minute drive off of Hwy 180. Yosemite is a doable day trip from the Ranch.
