Our house is 800m to North Hobart dining out strip and 300m to the famous Hill St Grocery store where Tasmanian gourmet products are available. You can walk to the city centre. Your accommodation is downstairs of our family home: a self-contained area with a separate entry off the verandah. It has a bedroom, a fully renovated bathroom, and a small living area with a kitchenette. We live upstairs, so we can assist you if needed but we also will give you privacy. There is free on-street parking.

Kick back and relax in this calm and stylish space. Enjoy your own private garden with mountain views, in bushland surrounds with easy access to walking and mountain bike trails. 5 minute drive to the village of South Hobart where there are plenty of local eateries, cafe's, bars and food stores. The Cascade Brewery bar and gardens is just down the road. It's only 10 minutes drive to the CBD, or take the bus directly to the Hobart CBD or South Hobart Village.

The Waiting Room

The apartment is situated in a 150 year old Weld Street property. The apartment itself was used during the 1900 as a waiting room for coaches heading South (hence the name!). 25 Weld Street had many uses over the years which include a boxing ring, home for a stevedore family as well as a home for a goats and possums. More recently (after years of renovations) the place has been a printmaking studio, cinema as well as a party venue for MONA owner David Walsh.
