Although surrounded by popular cafes and shops, The Loft is quiet and private. Situated near the stunning Hobart Rivulet, it's an easy 15-20 min walk or 10 min ride to the CBD. Or cycle/walk the other way to the Cascade Brewery.

We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Stunning views over Hobart, 5 mins drive from city centre. 3 min drive to Sandy Bay shops with all amenities, or 20 min walk through beautiful tree-lined streets. Walking distance to UTAS, Fitzroy Gardens and gourmet grocer. Bus stop to/ from city around the corner. Comfortable, well equipped unit with Smart TV, modern bathroom, heat pump, full kitchen & WiFi. Sofa can sleep extra guest if req. Unit is on ground floor of adjoining house.

Laneway hideaway

Our architect designed, garden roof cabin was built in 2020 to take in views across they valley to knocklofty. North facing the sun warms this house with the passive solar design maintaining a steady temperature. To complement this there is a wood fire for grey days and a sliding door and bifold windows for hot ones. Ply lining and exposed rafters give the house a cabin feel creating a retreat feeling. Different outdoor spaces provide great options to soak in the sun and neighbourhood.

Le Forestier — Mountain Stone Cottage

Escape to our charming stone cottage, surrounded by whispering trees and embraced by the foothills of Mt Wellington, offering a serene getaway. Explore nearby hiking trails and unwind by the crackling fireplace in the evenings. Perfect for couples looking to reconnect with nature, our cottage promises a rejuvenating experience amidst beautiful surroundings. Just a short 10-minute drive from Hobart, the location seamlessly blends city convenience with the tranquility of the mountain.

The Bakehouse - character - history - convenience

The bake house is a unique historical building circa 1880 that has been converted into contemporary accomodation. It is part of a precinct of three buildings, all relating the same function of supporting "Watson's" Bakery in the shop facing Macquarie street (now a funky homewares shop). You get to enjoy a three bedroom house. Three bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and toilet, living kitchen, dining and laundry downstairs. You have your own private courtyard with a picnic setting.

Downstairs, a queen-sized bed with all the trimmings will best suit a couples getaway.

Jan's Studio

Jan's Studio has a cosy queen sized bed, and a small lounge-kitchen space equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There is WiFi and off-street parking. The space is a separate dwelling looking onto a beautiful garden. It is set in a peaceful neighbourhood and is a short walk to local parks, cafes, and restaurants. Jan's studio lies at the foot of kunanyi/Mount Wellington, and is less than 3 km to Hobart and Salamanca, with its popular Saturday market.

Laneway 98 - Designer Luxe Cottage on City Fringe

Laneway 98 is a charming retreat nestled in the heart of South Hobart. Offering a blend of modern luxury and historic charm, the late 1800's worker’s cottage has been renovated to the highest standard, utilising original features where possible. The ideal base for exploring Hobart and its surrounds. Only a 5-minute walk to the Cascade Brewery, Cascades Female Factory, and the South Hobart rivulet. If you venture a little further, you will find the CBD and Salamanca waterfront.

The Scientist's Residence
