Lovely double bedroom near the sea

We offer a lovely room with a super comfy king size bed. Share breakfast with the family or at your leisure - we will try and tempt you with the delights of porridge and maybe even kippers if you are feeling adventurous although cornflakes and toast are also readily available! We are a family of 5 - a forester, marine biologist and 3 children aged 2,5 and 8. Light floods through large windows of our spacious and high-ceiling top floor apartment in a traditional Victorian building. Comfortably furnished and oak-floored throughout, the apartment is warmed by both central heating and a Swedish wood-burning stove. The apartment is located in Portobello neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from an expansive stretch of sandy beach. The beach promenade boasts popular cafes and lovely tradition pubs. Portobello is known for its quirky residential lanes and independent shops - butcher, fishmonger, grocers, sweet and craft shops. It is a safe family area which has traditionally been a seaside holiday resort in the summer months. Very frequent buses take 30 minutes to reach the historic city centre with its castle, palace, museums, galleries, ghost tours, cashmere and whisky. But its always nice to come home - to the neighbourhood where the sky meets the sea.

We're close to the medieval town and beaches of St Andrews - just 2 miles from the centre, so you can cycle/walk as well as drive. You’ll love our place because of its quiet location on a country estate: from here you can walk, golf, sightsee, in winter go up and ski at Glenshee; head to Edinburgh (1hr by train) and Glasgow, eat in fabulous restaurants or stay and cook in our well-equipped kitchen. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends.

An Oasis of calm close to Edinburgh Airport

Only 15 - 20 minutes from Edinburgh Airport by car. A beautiful modern family home right next to the Forth Bridges and Dalmeny train station and 20 mins to centre of Edinburgh. An ideal, peaceful spot from which to enjoy Edinburgh at all times but particularly during the Edinburgh Festival. A great starting and finishing point for touring (cycling) the North of Scotland. We are 10 minutes by car from Fife, even less by train. A simple and free self-service breakfast (buffet) is provided.

To get around, guests can walk and use the 10 bus services available within 5 mins walk

Private annex comprising of 2 en-suite bedrooms, one double and one twin with great views over the garden, with a large private lounge and its own entrance. Full breakfast is provided on a daily basis. Set in a beautiful rural area in the heart of Scotland - 40 mins to Edinburgh & St Andrews, 1 hr to Glasgow, 20 mins to Perth and The Highlands easily accessible. A wonderful local pub THE BALGEDIE TOLL TAVERN is less than a 5 min walk away - serving excellent food and drink.

A beautiful family home for 3 generations of the same family in the heart of the city. We offer a cosy double ensuite room on the ground floor of the house. Please note: this is a family home, not a B&B. Lewis, Kate and their two young kids live on upper floors. Catherine (grandma) and Beau (the cat) live on the ground floor. Breakfast is self-service. We provide: bread/toast, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, tea, fruit juice. We look forward to welcoming you!

A comfortable sitting room with TV , and dining facilities for those who require breakfast. Central heating, a surrounding garden with outdoor seating and dining and 2 parking spaces. Please note that prices quoted are £140 for two guests in one room, single occupancy £70.

My place is close to public transport and the city centre. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, a great shower, well-equipped kitchen, fast Broadband and the cosiness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Lovely woodlands with a great network of trails are just outside the door.
