Z Shack

Z Shack is part of local history. In the 1940’s concrete barracks were built for Camp Gordon Johnston to house soldiers training for D-Day off the shores of Dog Island. Z Shack is part of what was once barracks, now a renovated condo. This unit is nestled in the middle of a row of condos with privacy fencing on both sides. Our unit is small dog friendly, but each pup visitor must be approved before booking. Sorry, no cats, we love them too but the litter box mess is too hard to keep clean.

Apalachicola Getaway on Water Street

6/16/25 UPDATE RE CITY WATER QUALITY: Apalachicola water customers are experiencing water quality issues as the city makes repairs. This property has a reverse osmosis filtration system. Fridge ice is also on the system. We provide bottled water too. We believe your stay will be a positive one while the city resolves the water issue. Contact host for more info.
