The Twig, near Lake Bellaire

This cottage is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The Twig is a tiny, one-bedroom, 480-square foot cottage on property near Lake Bellaire. Living room/kitchen down, bedroom/bath up. Sofa bed in living room. Very private and an easy 5-minute walk to the lake. AC upstairs. The cottage, again, is tiny, and best suited for a single person, a couple, or a couple with children. Two couples might find it awkward. Well-behaved dogs are welcome for $20. There is a two-night minimum stay.

This house is located outside Alden. It sits on 35 acres and is 1/4 of a mile from the road. The location is rural, secluded and quiet. There is ample parking for boats and recreational vehicles. The view from the deck is spectacular, you can see out over 10 miles. It's private and has a wide wraparound deck, with a covered area at the front. It's perfect for grilling, relaxing and watching the sky after a day out. The kitchen is open and provides a lot of space for food preparation.

Relax around a camp fire in the evening or listen to the birds in the morning (you can often hear the loons early in the morning). Rustic cabin originally built in 1951, less than a mile from Elk Rapids and 12 miles from downtown Traverse City! Boat launches and beaches in every direction. I want to reiterate the rustic aspect. The cabin is old. The tile is marked in places, the carpet weathered. The places has..character.
