Mevy, A Victorian Slip Coach

Award-winning beautifully converted Victorian railway carriage. Mevy is sumptuous, with gilded maple and mahogany panels, velvet upholstery and a roll top bath. Family and allergen friendly, we can provide a cot and high chair on request. Mevy sleeps five, but two bunks are only 5'7" so only for smaller people. Lovely view over rolling hills. Mevy has all mod cons but is very eco friendly - Railholiday have won numerous national and local awards for our green approach . Sorry, no pets in Mevy.

The Red Train Carriage

The Red Train Carriage is a special place to stay next to the train tracks of The Swanage Railway. We believe it was built in about 1858 for GER as a 2nd class passenger carriage. It was just a shell when we got it, with it's original walls, doors, ceiling and floor, but the seating had been removed. There was only a few clues about its history in some of the doors and windows. We have saved as much of the original carriage as possible whilst making it a comfortable place to stay for a week.

La cinquième baie du monde pour l’amplitude de ses marées est située sur l’axe de migration Manche-Atlantique. Entre 30 000 et 40 000 oiseaux font ici une halte migratoire ou y résident en hivernage. Le logement est fourni avec serviettes et linge de lit fait. Il y aura aussi : thé, café, savons (…) pensez à remplacer ;)

The Old Luggage Van

Quirky and delightful converted railway carriage in a village location offering bijou accommodation for 1-2 people. Pets welcome. In an enclosed garden filled with spring bulbs. Guests have unlimited fuel for the wood-burner and access to ten acres of private woodland. Although we don't offer breakfast, our usual welcome pack will be provided, which indudes milk, tea, coffee, local apple juice and biscuits. Part of the Railholiday fleet, Winner of Winners in the 2018 Cornwall Tourism Awards.

THE BOLTHOLE on Pagham Beach is a world away on the peaceful Pagham Harbour RSPB nature reserve. Based around a Victorian railway carriage, THE BOLTHOLE has been lovingly renovated to include all creature comforts and super fast wi-fi! The original railway carriages remain and you will sleep 'first class' under their bowed ceilings! In addition a modern kitchen provides all you need to prepare your catch of the day and a open plan lounge allows space to kick back and relax.
