The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Mid Nov - Mar we have a winter mode as the water can freeze.

Our little home is perfect for those wanting a great place to relax from the stresses of everyday life. An ideal rest stop on the North Coast 500 or as a base to explore the Highlands. The Hideaway has a double room with en suite, a separate single room & family shower room. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an open plan living/dining room, TV, DVD's and board games. Private parking & outdoor decking with two seating area. Dornoch is a 5 min drive with local shops, bars, cafe's & restaurants.

Foulis Castle, Evanton is near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.

It is perfectly situated as a pit-stop for the NC500 or as a base to enjoy the hills, glens and coastline.

Our home is in a beautiful rural location on the edge of Clashmore Woods and 10 minutes from the award-winning Dornoch beach. The apartment is attached to our home with its own private entrance. Golfers are in a prime location for the many courses around here. We are pet friendly and perfectly located for beach and woodland walks. We have a static caravan on site that is also let out to guests.
