All tour guides have their favorite topic, mine is dueling. To me, dueling sheds light into the culture of the antebellem South like no other topic. In my tour, I go into detail about how duels were fought, who fought them, why they would fight, and show participants what they would look like according to the official rules written in Charleston in 1838. My tour takes participants on a step by step explanation about how duels were carried out from the insult to the firing of weapons. Charleston was the epicenter of Dueling in America.
