During this 3-day farm stay at Oregon's Myrtle Glen Farm, you'll learn everything you need to know about wild mushrooms, from cultivation to cooking. We’ll tour the property, escape into the lush coast range to gather and identify mushrooms, and prepare a farm-to-table dinner with the day’s bounty. After we enjoy a final breakfast, we’ll walk through the forest keeping an eye out for wild edibles and medicinal fungi that might be popping through the forest floor.
Dan & Micha
We are Micha and Dan of Myrtle Glen Farm. Micha is an expert in mushroom identification and we both have extensive experience in foraging, selling, and cooking wild mushrooms. We also cultivate mushrooms at our farm and are available to go over techniques to teach you how to grow their own culinary treats, as well as how to preserve and harness the medicinal benefits of mushrooms. Our small farm is an immersive experience in and of itself and we take time to teach you how we integrate fungi into the broader context of homesteading resiliently. Once booked, we'll reach out with more information on our farm and what you can look forward to during your stay with us. We keep guest sizes low so that you may enjoy more of our time and attention. Typically the ratio between participants and hosts will be 1:1 or 2:1.
