Each session begins with a warmup focused on getting your shoulders, hands, and hips ready to fly. Next we'll address the basic body mechanics and how to move your body through space while focusing on keeping you safe. The locomotion of traveling rings techniques will be broken down to easy to understand steps and exercises. After isolating each element, we will then work at integration.
I'm a traveling-rings aficionado who has been training and teaching for half a decade in Santa Monica Original Muscle Beach. My philosophy to my movement practice is rooted in play! I have studied Ido Portal's gymnast strength protocol, as well as received 500 hours certified Yoga teacher training in India. I also have worked as an international fashion model and computer animator where I bring my passion for movement to other disciplines! I have even shot a TV commercial and fashion campaign for a prominent Canadian brand on the traveling rings!
Guests will be supplied with special traveling rings grips for hand protection, as well as special gloves and wristbands…
This workshop takes place at Santa Monica Original Muscle Beach by the large traveling rings, just south of the Santa Monica Pier. It is right across from the Bike Shop on the boardwalk. We will visit and explore other areas of Santa Monica Original Muscle Beach as well as talk about the history of the area that started the fitness movement in America nearly 100 years ago.

Everyone is welcome! All ages, shapes, sizes! I've taught everyone from children to senior citizens on how to enjoy playing on the traveling rings. You don't need to be a muscle man or super toned to be able to have fun. If you have a reasonable level of fitness and healthy BMI, you'll be ready!
