Join my Bogota food tour to get to the bottom of what Colombian cuisine is all about. Taste its exotic fruits, dig into the magical world of lechona (that’s roasted suckling pig), sip on firewater aguadiente cocktails while tucking into classic Bogota dishes, and discover the magic and mystery of Colombian food. Along the way you will try around 10 different Bogota food tastings, try your hand at the explosive game of tejo (Colombia's national sport which involves throwing metal pucks at gunpowder) and sip on proper Colombia brews during a coffee tasting. Get ready for the feast of your life while I talk you through the history of the Bogota's cuisine and how the food culture evolved in Colombia over the years. There's plenty to see along the way as well, as we wind our way from downtown to the historical heart of the city, La Candelaria. We sign off with an immersive coffee workshop tasting several different beans, watch different steeping techniques and understand why the country grows, roasts and brews some of the best cups of joe on Earth. Note that my group tour is only open to those 18+ due to access to the tejo hall. If you have little ones, please book a private tour.
I graduated from one of the country's most prestigious gastronomic universities and since then, I've researched and written a number of publications on how history has influenced Colombia's food scene. I am also a fully licenced guide. That all sounds very serious, but I promise you this tour is a lot of fun! I am born and raised in Bogota and I know the city's food scene inside out, so join me on my Bogota food tour to experience some of the best eats in town.
Taste more than 10 different tastings and drinks
Bottled water, local drinks and a cocktail is included on the tour
Sign off with a Colombian coffee workshop at the end of the tour
To the outsider, Colombia’s culinary prowess isn’t immediately obvious. But scratch its underbelly a little deeper, and you’ll find some of the most complex fare in South America. On my tour, you'll get to grips with the capital's food scene with 10 delicious food tastings. Plus, you'll visit a local market to learn about ingredients, stop off for a quick game of tejo - the country's national sport and sign off with a coffee tasting.
最多可供8位旅人參加，不限年齡。 Please wear comfortable shoes as this is a walking tour and Bogota is quite hilly. Try to have a light breakfast (or no breakfast) as there is lots to try on the tour.
Let me know if you have any dietary requirements and I will do my best to accommodate you. Guests under 18 age will be offered a soft drink instead of the cocktail.
