My name is Ilaria and I am an enthusiast, traveller, adventurer, and people-lover! I have been collaborating with Il Balzo for almost 10 years—since my parents were involved with the foundation. My twin brother is one of the most experienced disabled bartenders in the bar. I love spending time at Il Balzo, where smiles are the most common thing you'll see.

Il Balzo is a nonprofit organization aiming to promote and facilitate the integration of people with disabilities into everyday activities. Thanks to volunteers and professional educators, we help people with disabilities learn how to become bartenders and servers to make their own living. Due to our location, we're also able to spend a time outdoors and do a lot of open air activities.

You will join us at Bar Balzo, a wonderful bar located in a typical Milanese neighborhood. If the group desires, we can go on a walk around the neighborhood to enjoy some historical spots that surround the bar.

The place was not too hard to find and the host was so helpful in directions and willing to even meet us at the stop to take us to the bar! The people there are so lovely and such a family. My party had a great time and I would highly recommend going, it was such a fun and unique experience and you really feel welcome and feel the Italian culture of music and food.

È la seconda volta che incontro i ragazzi barman del Bar Balzo e sono sempre colpita dalla cura e attenzione con cui preparano i drink. Sono bravi ragazzi e tendono l'atmosfera rilassata e amichevole. Esperienza da consigliare, drink buoni e stuzzichini abbondanti. 5 stelle!
