Our rendezvous point will be on the pedestrian Victorino Lastarria (calle Lastarria) intersection with Merced street, in front of restaurant Liguria, Santiago Down-town, Barrio Lastarria at 9:30 am. The circuit will contemplate a visit to the Cerro Santa Lucía (also known as Huelén by the natives) by its north entrance, the place where the idea of Santiago was conceived. Then we will explore the public neuralgic center of Santiago following the main avenue Alameda, where we will contemplate in turn a mix of public buildings, educational and finantial institutions, like banks, the stock market of Santiago, Universidad de Chile and the Government Palace of Chile, La Moneda. We will continue north in order to have on sight the most relevant ministry buildings, the Central Bank, the Justice square, the former National congress and of course, The Main square, Plaza de Armas. Depending on the schedule and the allowance of the staff in charge, we will visit some of the hidden places of Santiago, such as the former Royal Audience Clock Tower balcony at the Main square or the cloister of Santo Domingo Church, north of Plaza de Armas. After visiting the Fish Market we will take time to walk by street that potentially will show the mural street art of Santiago, and we will go by the Museum of Fine Arts before returning to our starting point in Lastarria Neighborhood.
I have been in cities over the coast like Valparaiso, the central área like Santiago, the wine Regions, Casa Blanca and San Antonio, the Mountains and many other. I am amazed that there are so many places hidden and unknown in the place where I live. New experiences, just waiting to be discovered. Every year, since 2012 I have led groups of different size from one to more than forty people, analyzing the political, economic and historical scenario we are living trough. I have had very honest and straightforward conversations about what is, what have been and what could be our lives in the world as we know it, from a local and an international perspective.

Santiago is mostly a safe city with kind people, feel free to interact with anyone but be careful with cameras, phones an values in general. Avoid wearing jewelry. Theres are ATMs everywhere and most commerce will take credit/debit cards so don't worry about cash. In sunny days wear sun cream.
