體驗簡介
I'll be helping you connect with the forest. We'll slow down and awaken our senses as I guide you through a series of evolving sensory-focused invitations crafted to help us best discover the medicine of being in the forest.
Our immersion experience will be in the style of Shinrin-Yoku as developed by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. It will be about 2 hours long and cover about one mile of trail. We go slow! But that's the point :-).
We will have opportunities to share our stories throughout and then we end with a tea ceremony featuring tea from foraged medicinal plants. We'll depart with a deeper relationship to the nature that surrounds Seattle and some skills to put into practice in our daily lives.
Other things to note
Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately -- layers are always good in Seattle...and traffic is often bad. The event will happen rain or shine. Please take care to arrive on time.

I'm the founder of Cascadia Forest Therapy and have been guiding folks in forest bathing sessions for over three years. I am certified as a nature and forest therapy guide by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. Ever since I was a kid, the forests of the Pacific Northwest wonderland have been my home. I'm honored to experience them with you.
體驗地點
We'll be walking in some of the most lovely stands of forest the Seattle area has to offer. Specific parks will vary from time to time, but each location I've scouted is a gem: we'll encounter big trees, native species, and beautiful water features.

We really enjoyed Michael's forest bathing guide. He is a great teacher, and I came away from the experience with a better understanding of the practice and how I can do it on my own. It was a good duration (2 hours), the location was easy to find and pretty, and the small group size made it a more comfortable setting. Michael was also respectful of covid precautions.

Enlightening experience! We did this with our two kids (age 11 & 12) and they loved it as did we! Michael set the stage for a peaceful retreat in the forest. He guided us along and also made us tea at the end from freshly harvested plants. Definitely will recommend to friends!

This was a perfect way to end my trip-in a peace-filled outdoor experience. I really appreciate the guided meditation as I do this on a regular basis and found it a perfect start to things. I also appreciate the native people acknowledgement during the tea ceremony. I could definitely see myself bringing a friend and doing it again.
