Sydney Opera House
Hi I'm Rick, I’ve been at the Sydney Opera house since December 2016. I arrived fresh off the plane from London and thought I would take a couple of months to find my feet. How wrong I was… the day I landed I had my interview for the Opera House and started work the following week! I initially joined the Opera House on a temporary three month contract looking after the new Welcome Team. Now here I am three years later with the privilege of looking after our Stage Door Team, Welcome Team, Customer Service and Venue egress. I love my role here at the Opera House as no two days are ever the same. I always tell our new recruits that after a while of being here nothing is strange or out of the ordinary.
