We will meet on the beach downtown at the seahorse and have a short walk from there. The walk is only about ten minutes down the beach and then we will have a very small hike up a small hill (maybe five minutes). From this hill we can look down on the beach where we will be practicing. We can set up our towels there or just practice in the natural sand if you prefer. We will be practicing a vinyasa flow with options to modify for lower and higher skill levels. The class will be a 75 minute flow. When we are finished you can stay there at the beach or walk back into town.
I have been practicing vinyasa yoga for the past 8 years. I recently decided to quit my day job and get my 200 hour RYT (registered yoga teacher). I am certified with yoga alliance and got my certification through one of the top studios in Pittsburgh PA (yoga flow). I do vinyasa yoga with a strong emphasis on ujjai breathing (means ocean breath). My classes are not just about poses and doing fancy tricks, but about finding your mental and physical balance through movement. I believe yoga is more than exercise, it is a way to reconnect with yourself. I decided to move to Puerto Vallarta permanently after spending six months here last year. In my time here I have learned so much about what makes this town magical. I love being here among the jungle and beaches. Ask me more about PV during class!
We will be going to a more secluded beach with wonderful views. We will meet at the seahorse statue on the beach downtown near Blue Chairs.
