Explore the mangroves of Damas Island Estuary by Paddleboard! From Quepos, we take you on a short drive north to one of the most unique ecosystems in the world. We will paddle through protected inland waterways, which are home to some of Costa Rica’s most incredible creatures, including monkeys, sloths, anteaters, birds, and so much more. We will point out and describe the various wildlife we see along the way, and explain why the mangrove tree ecosystem and is so import to Costa Rica.
Hey there! We are Matt and Brian, and we used to work together in finance. We both fell in love with Costa Rica on separate trips to the country, but somehow both ended up living here and starting one of the first paddle-boarding businesses in all of Costa Rica! On our time off, we would explore the country as much as we could, with one of our favorite activities being waterfall hopping. As we expanded our knowledge of the little-known waterfall gems of Costa Rica, many of the tourists would ask us to show them personally. This naturally progressed to hosting some of the most unique waterfall tours in the country. We love to show tourists the “off the beaten path” side of Costa Rica, and look forward to sharing the beauty of this country with you!
