We will meet at 11:00am at the MTR Shek Kip Mei station to start a walking tour through the streets of Sham Shui Po. Co-hosted by Nicola and William. We will stop at different food stalls to enjoy typical dishes such as wonton noodles, rice noodle rolls or cheung fan and ... a dim sum with a Michelin star! This area is grassroots and humble but it is the quality of their cuisine which has made this area famous, appearing as a hub of world gastronomy. We will also try sweet and delicious local desserts. In addition, we will pay a visit the oldest tofu factory in Hong Kong, where we will learn all about the process of making this product. We will also walk through the local Shek Kip Mei market where you can see a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and many other necessary ingredients for a traditional quality cuisine.
