We'll meet in Shoreditch and start with a cup of tea in a 17th-century townhouse, where I'll introduce you to the area's unique culture and rich history. We'll then taste samples from a famous fish-and-chip shop, get curry from a proud Brick Lane curry-house owner, and also drink some insanely chocolately hot chocolate. After an introduction to the hidden street art, we'll end in a proper East End "boozer" for an ale, where you're welcome to continue the party. Throughout this experience, I'll explain the dynamic history and culture of the area and the origins of its foods. At the end, you'll have tasted different local foods and drinks and will come away with a deeper, richer understanding of one of London's most diverse and buzzing neighborhoods.

We met in a Brick Lane bookshop years ago, and bonded over our love of London, its amazing history, and food. Charley trained as a chef and Beatrice trained as a historian, so together we combined our passions, and worked hard to develop the best London food tours. Whether it's the best scotch egg, or the latest street art, we love sharing our unique discoveries with people. On our tours you taste your way through London's eclectic food scene and the stories and secrets that have made it world-famous.

A food tour of East London and an exceptionnal guide in Beatrice are a recipe for a great time. Beatrice seemed genuinely interested in every one of her guests and in making sure all needs were met. She also loves her city and wanted us to learn more about it. The tour is more than about food, it’s also about discovering this interesting part of the city and its ancient and more recent history. Bring your appetite and pace yourself, I was almost stuffed after the yummy fish and chips!

My family’s food tour with Charley was unanimously voted our favorite part of our London trip by everyone from 5 to 68 years old! Charley did a special mid-week tour for us since we couldn’t make the weekend ones and was incredibly quick and responsive via Airbnb. Charley used to do top-of-the-bus tours and so has an in-depth knowledge of London in general but this tour is so much more thoughtful, smarter, and even funnier than one of those. You will taste a wide variety of foods and learn about the history and art of the Shoreditch area and London at large. The tour is suitable for all ages. My mom loved the history, my 26-year-old niece loved the street art, my 5-year-old daughter loved the sweets, and my husband and I loved all of the above, especially the curry. We ended in the greatest pub where my daughter played with the pub cat and we got to hang out some more with Charley who is a total delight, an incredible small business owner, and did her very best to teach us how to do British accents. I would book any tour with Charley or Beatrice again!

This was a fantastic tour hosted by Beatrice. She quickly got to know us and made sure she catered the tour to our interests. She was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about Shoreditch. She really knows the best nooks and crannies that visitors to the area would miss completely!
