When I travel, I like eating local food, and cominucate with local people. When I received a warm hospitality from local people, that travel became unforgetable memory in my life. I grew up seeing my grandfather (鈴木光勇 kouyu suzuki) making soba at home.He started making handmade soba over 10 years ago, and sometimes he taught it my family. And every last day in year we definitely make handmade soba. Making soba at home is affected by climate, so it’s little bit difficult to be succeed. But he has knowledge about nature here,so don’t worry. I would like to share our local food culture. That’s why we decided to start this project.
It takes 15 minutes from Uzen-kanezawa station to my house by walk. There are no bus or taxi there, so in case it’s strenuous for you to walk, please use a taxi service from the second nearest station (Uzen-yamanobe station). My house is typical japanese-style, built of wood, floors of tatami mats, shoji(Japanese sliding doors consisting of wooden frames and thin paper) and so on. You can see those and feel Japanese lifestyle
