Hello fellow History Buffs and Adventure Seekers! My name is Alfred and I'm excited to teach you how to navigate the Houston downtown tunnel system as well as providing information on some of the more historically interesting facts about the city! First, we will meet at a close location to one of the tunnels of the city. Or, if you are in one of the various hotels in downtown Houston we could meet at the lobby of your particular hotel. During this experience, we will dive 20 feet into the subterranean tunnel system and learn how to navigate the 6-mile-long system. As we head to the tallest building in Texas, I will indulge you with interesting facts surrounding the buildings connected to the system and provide great picture opportunities. The tour will not only be a history lesson of Houston’s past, but offer fun quirky facts of the surrounding buildings. To conclude the tour, you will have the choice of continuing to explore the city with all the knowledge of the experience or I will be happy to guide you back to the starting point.
I have lived in and around Houston for pretty much all my life. I know the city quite well and know some of the best spots for tourists to explore. In my opinion, there isn't a more fun way to learn about a city's history than by walking through it and seeing for yourself the various architectures from buildings that were built many years ago compared to those that were built not so long ago. I also enjoy teaching how to navigate the city and take advantage of some of its free transportation systems so that visitors can easily explore whatever sites they want to go see on their own. As a local expert, I am also aware of some of the best deals on food and drink in the downtown area! Whether you're a tourist or a Houstonian I will gladly share my knowledge and guide you through the downtown of my city.
