Our cycling journey from Bangkok to Ayutthaya begins at 8.30am with breakfast at one of the city’s best cafes. This is also a chance for us to ensure that all guests are appropriately equipped, and that our bikes are adjusted for each rider. In a group of no more than 10, we will then set out to Ayutthaya, a former capital of Thailand with a history reaching back to the 14th century. At each stage of the 80km journey, which takes around 4 hours, we will be accompanied by a support van carrying food, snacks, energy gels, water, and first aid and repair equipment. In Ayutthaya, we will stop for lunch at a superb Thai restaurant with magnificent views of an ancient temple complex. To relax, we will end our time in Ayutthaya with a Thai massage at a luxurious spa, before returning to Bangkok in the van with our bikes on-board. Leaving Ayutthaya in the late afternoon, you will return to your hotel in time for dinner.
I’m a Bangkok-based entrepreneur who’s built businesses around distinctive travel experiences. I’m also a passionate cyclist, being trained by an Olympic medal-winner, I ride more than 1,000km each month and I love it! Cycling has changed my life, making me healthier and stronger while broadening my experience of the country that I love. Taking cycling enthusiasts on curated tours of the surrounding area is a way of paying forward what I’ve learned by enjoying a favorite pastime with people who share my passion.
Breakfast, lunch, and snacks along the way are included. Please let us know of your dietary requirements.
Non-alcoholic drinks are included.
We can pick guests up from hotels in central Bangkok. Cervelo bicycles and a support van are provided.
We'll start at a stylish cafe, in one of Bangkok’s more posh neighbourhoods. Inspired by the owner’s time in Sydney, it serves superior blended and single-origin coffees, along with fusion dishes, with baked goods made in-house. Ayutthaya, former capital of a Thai kingdom, features numerous historic buildings in garden settings. Our lunch venue there is a boutique hotel with waterside views across to the spires of a temple built in 1353.
This tour is aimed at fellow cycling enthusiasts ready for an 80km ride. Guests will ideally have their own bike and cycling attire, including a helmet. If you do not, please let me know before booking so I confirm so that you are suitably equipped during the morning breakfast session.
