Join us in the kitchen, situated in our private Medieval hamlet in the Tuscan hills, between Florence and Rome, as we dive into the tradition of Italian cuisine. We will cook a full meal together, including hand made pasta. We will also make an appetizer and dessert based upon the season and the ingredients available at that time of year, accompanied by our very own olive oil. Our classes are limited to 6 people, offering everyone a chance to experience hands-on the process from start to finish. Upon arrival, we will welcome you with a traditional Italian breakfast - coffee & small sweets - and then jump right into the cooking. We will explain in detail every step of making the pasta dough, rolling it out & cooking it just 'al dente'. To start the meal, we will be making a traditional Tuscan appetizer and finishing with our signature dessert, Tiramisu (each home has its own secret Tiramisu recipe, we will share ours with you). All recipes will be given to our guests as a memorable keepsake of our time together. Lunch will be accompanied by local wines, red and white, made in the nearby surroundings & we will indulge in what we have created together!
A passion for food and cooking has been with us for generations and with the help of local cooks, it continues to run through our blood. Our grandfather was an accomplished cook who left us with a 5 volume cookbook from which we take our recipes that we share with you. With the help & wisdom of the local women who have been coming to Camporsevoli for years, along with my mother, I myself have become an passionate cook & enjoy sharing my knowledge & experience of Italian cooking. I have learned that with commitment to local ingredients, time & care, anyone can cook a delicious homemade meal.
