Starting from Lisbon, we will explore the south side of Lisbon (Arrabida, Sesimbra, Azeitão, and Espichel). To do that, we first cross the Tejo River by passing the Portuguese Golden Gate Bridge (25 of April Bridge). We will enjoy beautiful beaches, frighteningly tall cliffs, an astonishing cape, a medieval well-preserved castle, a fishing village, a natural park, an abandoned monastery, and a local family-owned winery. The day will end tasting 4 local wines. We are not wine experts, but these local wines are great! The most important thing, we will have an amazing and relaxing day away from the big tourist crowds.
Olá (hi). My name is Nuno and I am the founder of the Lisbon Riders - travel like a local. I was born in Lisbon and 7 years ago I started a small company to share my city with the people that come to visit us. Lisbon is a great city to visit but the experience will be much better with a local. You will meet a friendly local guide, me or one of the girls, Rita, Tânia or Carolina; or one of the boys, Nuno or Ricardo) all local experts who know every corner of Lisbon with many years of passion and experience. I promise you that we will enjoy beautiful beaches, frighteningly tall cliffs, an astonishing cape, a medieval well-preserved castle, a fishing village, a natural park, an abandoned monastery, and a local family-owned winery. Everything will be done in a relaxing and funny way. Até já (see you soon)!!!
We’ll visit vineyards, do wine tasting (4 local wines) and learn about a familiar winery.
We'll cross the Tejo river, passing by the paradisiac Lagoa de Albufeira, stopping at the impressive Espichel Cape, visiting an old and well preserved Moorish castle (9th century), stopping for lunch at the small Atlantic fishing village of Sesimbra, enjoying the beautiful Arrabida Natural Park with its unique Mediterranean plants, appreciating the abandoned 500 years old Arrábida Monastery and tasting local wines at a local familiar winery.
