We'll cover the fundamentals of great fresh pasta--including making the dough from scratch and learning how to create a variety shapes, such as ravioli, tortelli, or orecchiette--with a few tips on techniques used by the pros. The workshop will conclude with a casual, family-style meal of what we've made, served in signature sauces I've developed as part of the Pasta Social Club platform. Note that all dishes are vegetarian-friendly.
I traded in my 9-to-5 desk job after experiencing the joy of making pasta by hand during my honeymoon in Italy. Growing up, I trained as a painter and sculptor, so making intricate shapes with dough was like coming home to my creative roots (not to mention you can eat it all!). I've since graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, worked in award-winning Italian restaurants, built a community of more than 20,000 food lovers online, and founded my own business, Pasta Social Club--all with the mission of bringing people together over a shared love of fresh pasta.
