Meeting at the Farm Shop. After the introduction, guests will be taken through a tour and the wine-making process, followed by a visit to the cellar where our red wines age and evolve. On the second part the Bottle Blending Workshop, during which guests will learn the challenging arts of tasting, analyzing and blending wine. Three premium wines will be given for tasting, then the challenge of blending them into a wine which perfectly matches each guest personal taste. In our Bottle Blending Workshop, a rich regional snack consisting of local baked bread, cheeses, ham, sausages, pates, butter, flavoured olive oils, olives and the traditional Fig-Cheese will be available to match the wines. After guest will be able to wonder and enjoy our beautiful estate, statues and animals. The workshop is in English and is scheduled on Fridays at 1pm (except for public holidays).
My name is Karl Heinz Stock and I'm the owner of Quinta dos Vales Wine Estate since 2006. Wine was always a passion of mine so I've decided to create an experience and share it with anyone who knows or would like to know a bit more about wine. As some of my time is spent designing my own art pieces, Quinta dos Vales is an open air gallery and guests can not just experience the wine, but also the venue.
Guests will visit the vinyard, the vines, production warehouse, aging cellar, sculpture gardens, animal farm.
The meeting point will be in our Farm Shop, which is next to the car park. Guests should arrive 15 minutes before the wokshop so they can check in with time.
