We will start the day by natural dyeing using locally sourced ingredients. You will leave this workshop with 100g/5 mini skeins of naturally dyed yarn. Vegan yarn (cotton, linen, hemp) is available on advance request. We will then visit to a local cafe for lunch. Lunch is provided, please make the organiser aware of any special dietary requirements when booking. We will then walk to the local Loch Ness woodland to collect, forage and learn about dye materials . We then return to the Loch Ness Knitting site to learn more about preparing the materials and recap on methods used in the morning. This course is run entirely outside no matter what the weather, so please dress appropriately for a Scottish summer and foraging in woodlands.
