Guests are welcomed to cozy up to the bar where they will find their work stations, a set of mixing tins, mixing glass, bar spoon, and jigger. They will be instructed on the correct techniques of handling the bar tools and spirit bottles to create the perfect measurements of our drink. They will shake one drink, and stir the other and learn when and why to employ these different cooling methods. The guests will be given a brief history of spirits, cocktails, and the saloon culture. After the second drink is complete, guests will be taken on a tour of Maine Craft Distilling. They will experience first hand where we malt the grain and distill our award winning craft spirits.
With twenty years of experience, our bar manager, Michael Gatlin, will guide you through the do's and don'ts of constructing the perfect cocktail. As a cocktail consultant, Michael has written over a hundred cocktail menus for various bars and restaurants. He has displayed his talents across the United States; with the majority of his work being performed in New York City and Portland, Maine.

The first stop will be in The Public House where the guests will learn to properly mix cocktails. The second visit will be right through the magic doors to the distillery itself.
