This is a two part experience: the first part is a guided tour of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the second part is a movie experience under the stars at The Galileo Open Air Cinema, also located inside the gardens. I will meet you at 5.45pm at entrance 2 of Kirstenbosch and together we'll go into the gardens for a 45 minute guided tour where I will teach you about the uniqueness of the flora of the Western Cape as well as share other interesting stories about the gardens and South Africa in general. After the walking tour, we'll go to The Galileo Open Air Cinema's beautiful movie area where VIP seats will be waiting for us in the middle of the lawn (including popcorn, chocolate and a drink) and here we'll get to enjoy a social atmosphere of food vendors, music and games for about an hour before the movie starts at sunset. During this social time, we will chat about any subject of your interest. Having been a university teacher and tour guide for over 15 years, I am very knowledgeable about South Africa, its history, Mandela, politics, flora, fauna and many other subjects. Finally, once it's dark, you'll watch a beautiful movie under the stars in the most beautiful cinema setting in the world!
I have led small and large tours in Cape Town and Southern Africa for over 15 years as a qualified Tour Guide, and have a passion for sharing my knowledge with others. I was born and raised in Argentina and only came to South Africa as an adult which made me particularly interested in this country's history, so I know a lot of interesting political and historical facts. I am also a qualified university teacher and I am often told that I can tell stories with great flair and passion.
