We'll meet at an independent cafe (drink on me) so we can chat about the type of clothes you love, your style and what you'd like to find and you can ask me anything you'd like to know about Cambridge. We'll then set off to visit the trendiest area which isn't on the usual tourist route where I'll take you to a range of specialist vintage clothing and thrift/charity shops (approximately four shops in total). I can advise on UK clothes sizes, take photos of you if you wish and help make stylish and value choices, finding clothes I think you'll love. I'll also point out any interesting buildings and the history of the district as we walk, the local independent shops and cafes. You won't find big chain stores in this area! After this I'll leave you with a map showing other great places to shop vintage. You can then either join me for a brief visit and chat about the amazing sustainable conservation building I work in which is a fifteen minute walk away or continue shopping and sightseeing independently armed with your map and my suggestions.
A true addict of thrift and vintage shopping for many years, I love the thrill of searching for unique recycled and vintage clothes. I have a Higher National Diploma in Costume Interpretation at the London College of Fashion, a degree in Theatre and an MA in Film. I've worked as a Wardrobe Mistress and Costume Maker in theatres and styled pop videos and short films. Now working in conservation I attend seminars and talks on sustaining the planet which inspires me to look at more sustainable ways of dressing and wearing recycled and quirky vintage clothing does just that.

We'll go to the area of Cambridge where students live and shop for thrift clothes and where the trendiest independent cafes and shops are located. Typical English terrace houses sit opposite global food stores, antique and vinyl record shops. We'll visit the famous Oxfam charity shop and quirky vintage clothing stores for fabulous shoes, bags, jewellery, records and clothes and you can look for unique English souvenirs to take home too.
