Visit one wine estate, their vineyards and cellar, where I have free access and I will explain all the cycle of wine production and what are the different variables and how will influence the final result, namely: - "Terroir" influences, grape varieties, treatment of vines, grapes processation and winemaking process, wine stage, role of the wood and what is the blend. - Organization of a winery, history and current panorama of wine in Portugal and in the region, functioning of the market, organization of the wine business and certification standards. - Learning tasting techniques and understanding how to analyze the flavours of a wine Then we'll get in touch with the historical importance of the Arade river, where the canned fish factories where before the main activtiy of the area. We'll visit the only factory, that fights to keep the traditions. It's a modern factory of crafted canned fish and gourmet products and we'll see their modern but mostly handmade process. In the end a degustation of their products made with tuna, sardines, mackerel and horse mackerel combined with local vegetables and condiments. Lunch happens in the old town of Portimão, area that developed in connection with the importance of the river and the activity of fishing. You will be privately transported during the tour. and we can meet also in other place that suits better. The visited winery is Quinta do Francês or Villa Alvor. Follows a visit to the canned fish factory Saboreal - Conserveira do Arade. Lunch happens in Portimão old town, at the tavern restaurant "Taberna da Maré" or "Forte e Feio".
