In this experience, you will learn how to manually brew pour-over coffee, and how to taste organic Balinese coffee from various regions of Bali. You'll learn the secrets behind the extraction of the perfect espresso, and you'll do a lot of latte art. You will be immersed in the world of Balinese specialty coffee.

I’m a co-owner of The Koop Roaster and Café in Seminyak, Bali, with a solid background in food and beverage with international hotels. I had worked in seven countries on three continents, before instantly falling in love with, and settling on, this island of the gods. As Bali and coffee addicts, my Japanese partner and I decided to grow our own genuinely organic Arabica coffee in Bali. We are very much the only people in Bali who are crazy enough to farm, process, roast, and brew all by ourselves—and we can’t wait to welcome you on board this truly unique Balinese coffee experience.

I've always love drinking coffee, and so hopped on the chance to attend a workshop when I can. The experience started off on a little rocky start - not the fault of the staff. Tri, our instructor and host for the day, was amazing. Very passionate about coffee and earnest in all of his sharing. Love his patience and how he made the entire session so comfortable for us. The other staffs at The Koop were also amazing - being such a joy to hang around with. Wish we did not need to rush off after. Would totally recommend this to everyone who loves coffee.

It is a very special experience in Bali. The host Tri is very caring and passionate on coffee. He shares with us many coffee knowledge and show us how to make different coffee as well. I will recommend this to other travelers who are interested in coffee and would like to explore more about it.

I met the key barista, Yun Hai who was very passionate and patient in teaching me the tips to coffee brewing.
He was brilliant with his techniques, tailoring the industry tips so that I’ll be able to action them at home (as I told him I just wanted to learn for fun, not for business). I truly enjoyed myself. It was 3 hours long but felt quite short because it was so engaging!
The other staff were very welcoming too! Food was great and coffee was of course amazing! I left with coffee beans of my choice and a cute Koop bag! Loved the cafe vibe too! Would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about coffee making!
