Off the beaten track half day trip to an island off the eastern coast off Changi. You will get to explore the island on foot, enjoy pleasant walk through tropical forest, see the remaining kampong and how people used to live 50 years ago. And perhaps see some native wildlife like long-tailed macaques and wild boars. We can explore all the way to stunning Chek Jawa mangroves swamps, take a stroll on the coastal boardwalk and go up Jejawi tower to see the views from the top. We will meet at the pier. And then take boat together. I am flexible. If you have not your breakfast we can swing by the hawker centre first next to the pier for brekkie or local coffee then start the tour. :) The mostly under shady trees walk is about 3.2 km and will take about 1 hr each way. If you prefer you can also bike on the island (~$8). Expect some uphill and downhill gravel roads. After the walk perhaps try delicious local dish nasi lemak at Changi Village? For less than $5. Van taxi is also available on the island at $12 each way. So this tour is suitable for those who cannot walk too long. This tour is normally conducted in the morning due to weather and boat availability. If you are birdwatcher, tour can start earlier. Birds are most active between 7-9am. I am not a bird expert but knows where they are :)
