Enjoy a cultural day in the streets of Cape Town with a local! Visit the street art of Woodstock and its history, interact with its habitants and have great photos taken of you! Explore Bo-kaap on foot while I guide you to the most interesting parts. These spots offer the most picturesque scenes of the neighbourhood and allows us the opportunity to capture memorable moments of your trip. Starting at the Woodstock exchange, we will visit the most creative part of Woodstock, enjoying the street art and a photo walk where we will take beautiful portraits with amazing murals and different types of street art, while telling you stories behind the artworks and artists. We will then have a picnic lunch at the Company's Garden, and visit its exceptional vegetable garden created for the community. We continue to Bo-Kaap the Cape Malay community of Cape Town lives.
Born and raised in Soweto, a township of Johannesburg, now in Cape Town I have been working in tourism for over 8 years and have created my own successful tourism agency in 2017! I am a street photographer, historical storyteller and an activist. I have a good understating of the history of Apartheid in South Africa and the impact it has between the older and the younger generation that still lives here. I love to share personal stories about the new South Africa, how apartheid has impacted everyone and how it has changed our lives. Website : Onedaysoweto.com Instagram : @oneday.africa
