體驗簡介

You magically will be able to turn flours into a beautiful , healthy , digestible sourdough bread and pizza made with selected heritage organic flours locally produced and an old starter that I have been using since 2010.
In total safety, you will learn the difference between a wild starter and commercial yeasts, you will know about nutritional properties of flours, how to choose them, you will learn kneading and bread folding techniques.
For special pizza toppings, we shall go directly in the vegetable garden of the farm to pick your favourites! As an "aperitivo" you will taste our production olive oil with some other goodies and wine .
While the bread will be baking in the oven, we'll be eating a delicious pizza altogether al fresco.
It will be fun & flour for one day! Escape the summer hot air of Florence for one night and enjoy the fresh air and beauty of Tuscan hills. You will go back home with your bread, our wild yeast , recipe and much more awareness on food. Infact Food in order to be a quality food should be good, clean and fair and in this class you will see food not only as passion and fun but also from another point of view that is one of the main reasons of nowadays' carbon emissions. So this class is meant not only to give you technical tips but also some ideas to think about when you will be back home. ..

Other things to note
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and take with you a sweater.
You should buy a 2 way ticket (around 10 euro) from Central Florence to Incisa station : it's a direct 45 minute train .

I have been welcoming Airbnb guests since 2013 and a super host since then. I make bread for all of my guests and many times I made it with them. As an active member of Slow Food movement, I keep myself updated with everything related to gastronomy. I have been running the farm since 2009, I grow my vegetables and olive trees. I’m passionate about healthy farm to table food, I think that our health depends on what we eat and that food can be our medicine only if it is good, clean and fair. 體驗地點

You will spend half day in our organic farm on the hills of Florence surrounded by olive groves. The design of the kitchen where you will be working is unique and is a perfect match of modern and rustic elements. It is an off grid timberframe barn. The kitchen is very big and the experience will be for no more than 6 people to allow phyisical distancing.
We shall bake the pizza in a 18th century-old wood oven located in the rural stone house.

I could not recommend this experience more highly! Francesca, Francesco and Stella were the perfect hosts. Their property is amazing and I loved sharing a meal with everybody. I learned a lot about sourdough, different flours and pizza making. This was most certainly a highlight of my Italian holiday. Do it, you won’t regret it. 😊

This was by far our favorite part of our Italian trip! The view and atmosphere at the farmhouse was amazing! Francesca’s kitchen was gorgeous and the wood oven was true and authentic! We ate delicious pizza, using the dough we made, with the rest of the guests and were then able to bring our loaf of sourdough home! It was a magical evening that we didn’t want to end!

Francesca was fantastic. I made an error with my booking, however, she still went out of her way to accommodate us, giving us a one to one service. She has a wonderful family who are passionate about their lifestyle. They are located in the most beautiful setting and it was a joy to experience.

It is a fantastic experience, beginning with our host and teacher, Francesca, not only very knowledgeable, as she produces wild yeast and sourdough based bread and pizzas for years, but also with a great sense of humor, making the class run easy and entertaining . She also has a perfect planning to the class so you are capable to run the entire process of baking breads from the beginning when we fed a ‘madre’ existing yeast as well as running throughout all the kneeding and resting phase untill Francesca’s husband, Francesco, bakes the breads and pizzas in the 18th or 17th century oven. It also sums up to this great culinary class the experience with organic farming, were we are not only introduced to the theme but also have the opportunity of harvesting in the vegetable garden what would be latter the pizza toppings! It was a fantastic opportunity of learning to bake breads and about organic farming and I very much recommend this experience! PS: I had some difficulties to arrive in time as i was in another city and Francesco and Francesca were not only very kind but also very comprehensive seeking and delivering solutions to my problem!

This was everything I wanted it to be! Francesca has an absolutely delightful personality, as well as her partner Francesco! Their home is absolutely beautiful and the view from their property is gorgeous. This was my ideal for a perfect afternoon /evening. Don’t miss this experience!

Lovely relaxing afternoon to learn all about making your own bread from scratch. We ended up making breads, pizza’s for all guests, foccacia and even a special chickpea dish all in their very authentic wood oven. Inspiring to see this warm family live in the countryside off their land. Good train connection with Florence. Francesca was so kind to pick me up and on the way back with my warm bread fresh from the oven Francesco and i spotted some wildlife. You can also spend the night there.
