Enjoy a relaxing open air pedicab exploration through East Austin, stopping at three award-winning microbreweries. Each brewery offers their own unique selection of beers. Beer flights at each brewery included.

I moved to Austin from Australia in 2004. I rode my bike everywhere, which eventually led to me working downtown as a pedicabber. Rather than just riding the late hours, I wanted to provide out-of-towners an opportunity to explore this amazing city and its growing craft beer options.

We'll start at Lazarus Brewing—our newest brewery in this experience, with a lot of European-influenced beers. This brewery offers coffee, beer, and tacos. Next we're off to Central Brewing—a sustainable brewery that utilizes local ingredients for their small batch beers. Our final destination is Zilker Brewing—a craft brewery and taproom focusing on the American-Belgo style. Each brewery offers food options

We had a nice time with Caleb our driver. The tour itself is a little bit unorganized. After arriving at the pickup spot we then found out it was going to change due to him running late. Also at each bar it seemed as though it was the first time they've ever done this (having to explain we were getting flights) although there wasn't an issue and did receive everything we had paid for! Just made it a little bit awkward.

The experience was alright. It felt poorly put together. There was little to no communication with the bars we attended. The first begrudgingly gave us a flight of 3 after asking to see my phone for more details about the event. They said "I know about most events and I don't know about this one". This is after the bartenders conferred with each other to make sure they weren't missing any information. At the third bar, we ended up having to buy our own drinks because the bar didn't provide anything for the tour. What we were told would be covered in the cost of the ticket was NOT covered by the ticket. It felt unfortunately like a sham. We could have bought our own drinks for much less cost. Our driver was very kind, charismatic and hard working though he could not negotiate with a bartender who did not know about the event. Bummer.

The host was not Nathan like pictured when buying the tour. My tour guide no offense looked like a homeless man. He was really dirty and missing teeth. He wouldn’t give us space while at the brewery and stopped at his bank in the middle of the tour to pick up a news paper. He was overall creepy. Would not recommend to anyone. Just do the 3 breweries on your own and you’ll have a better time. Waste of money.
