I teach history of Japanese architecture at Keio University. I love to meet new people and communicate them. My experience is mainly visiting architecture and art gallery, but also I would like to show other interesting spots, such as restaurants, cafe and shops which local people often visit.

We will meet in Shimbashi Station. Then, we will walk to Ginza District. I will show not only the new building in main street but also modern architecture in 30’s in small alley. Ginza has long history and there are many historical buildings behind main street.
We had a last-minute day in Tokyo and decided to book a tour with Nahoko. The Ginza tour was not my first choice but we were happy we went. Nahoko provided an insider view to both recent and not-so-recent architecture in the Ginza district. I would recommend this tour as well as others from her.

Nahako is very knowledgeable within the architecture, arts and creative industry in Japan and specifically in Tokyo. Her extensive background shows when she brought us around her favourite buildings within the Ginza area. Some of the buildings we went were lesser known and not within the usual buildings that is featured in the architecture / travel blogs, which to me is very refreshing. I fully recommend this experience to anyone that is interested in history of Japanese Architecture within the Ginza area! Thanks again Nahako!

This was an interesting experience where Nahoko gave us a deeper understanding of Ginza and how much more there is to it than just shopping. We saw many little art galleries that we would not have discovered otherwise. Nahoko also briefly pointed out interesting buildings along the way.

Nahoko is cheerful and shows off some really interesting buildings. This tour is both for the architect, and for people who barely know anything about it (like me). Walking through Ginza is super fun, even more so when you have someone to point out cool places and can take you in to the buildings to look around
