"Ohanami" (flower viewing) is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. From the end of March to early Airple, cherry trees blom all over Japan.
I modern-day Janpan,Hanami mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during daytiome.

Please bring your camera
If the weather is not good or cold then please bring and wear warm clothes. Please let me know if you have any food allerfies in advance.

Etsuko was a lovely host who was quick to respond to my messages and despite her limited English, tried her best to accommodate me and communicate her story and the story of her home town. Her experience felt very special as I could see all the time and effort she went to prepare the meals and picnic. Definitely a unique experience.

She’s been an execellent host. In that day the most of the sakura has turned green and she put a lot of effort in researching and brought us to a very beautiful scene in the nearby monastry. Then we setteled at the Ueno Park and enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by her. She shared a lot for us and she had fetched lots of other tourism information to us with detailed leaflets and prochures. Recommended to anyone who eill ckme to Tokyo in future.
