We will meet on the front of Split tourist office, at address Obala Hrvatskog Narodnog Preporoda 9, (behind only music stage at promenade, where at nights local performers entertain city guests).
After we meet we can go inside of office and grab free city maps, then we walk to the bronze model of city Split, so we will start our tour on Split promenade where is big billboard of Roman Palace from 4 century who was built for emperor Diocletian, after brief talk about position of palace and Roman history in this part of world. we will enter the palace through Diocletian cellar.
We gonna go to Peristyle square, then we walk to the Diocletian mausoleum, now it is our cathedral in Split but it was built in 4 century to be last resting place for roman emperor. Then we will go to Jupiter temple, then dining area of Diocletian, and we will see north wall of palace and Gregory Nin statue. We will navigate through small alleyways of old city, and also I will show you where is secret gems only locals know. I will show you where neighborhood people go for food and drinks.

*Entrance fee for Cathedral is 3.5 euro (25 kuna)
*Please wear decent clothes if we will enter the cathedral.

Book Emil's tour, it's great. We almost booked another tour that was cheaper, but booked with Emil based on his amazing reviews (and us both being twins, of course) and we're so pleased we did. Emil has so much knowledge about Split, and his stories bring it to life. His enthusiasm about it all is wonderful and engaging. He truly loves what he does. If I return to Split, I'd book his tour a second time. It ended up just the two of us on his tour, which was great for us and didn't seem to bother Emil at all. Do yourself a favor and book this tour. Emil was amazing and gave us so much information about the Diocletian Palace and it’s inhabitants. We never felt rushed and he extended the tour for us as we had so many questions. He is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had.

It was the best history tour I’ve ever had! Emil was so well prepared and passionate about all what he explained to me that I was so sorry that I didn’t have a video to be able to record everything he taught me.
He does know many interesting things that I couldn’t have known on my own.
Besides, I was really lucky that he gave me the tour even if I was the only one there; but I know it would have been the same if there had been more people with us.

He has a great personality and sense of humor, shares awesome stories that you won't hear elsewhere, and gives you a real sense of story and place.
