I am all about having fun and being safe. Lessons start at Pacific Surf School where we pick up a rash guard and sign your waiver. At the beach your instructor will provide wetsuit and the board. Instruction starts on the land where students learn about safety, how to balance, pop up, and about the timing of waves. After the land lesson you will head into the water with one of the certified Pacific Surf School instructors who will make sure you stand up on the board and have a great time. All lessons are group lessons with a maximum of 5 students per instructor.

There is paid parking very close by or guests can park free of charge in the neighborhood surrounding the school. no refund last than 24 hrs before your surf lessons.

I am a dedicated surfer who has competed professionally for over 23 years as well as traveled and surfed around the world. I have dedicated my life to surfing and operate multiple surf schools around the world, including Pacific Surf School in San Diego. surfing and teaching for more than 22 years , USLA (united states life-saving association), and am also Life Guard Certified.

We offer SURF lessons at the end of Pacific Beach Drive in Pacific Beach. This central location has public restrooms as well as many restaurants and hotels near by.

Our lesson was with Connor, and he was a great teacher! He was patient and friendly and customized our lesson to our experience level (very first time surfing). All of the staff at the school were helpful and friendly.
To note: The wetsuit was included in the experience cost, and our backpacks were kept safe in their tent.

Ricardo was my surfing instructor and he’s the best! He went over all the safety guidelines, and even adjusted his teaching after observing my technique. He was also so easy to talk to - super laidback and chill with an infectious smile. I felt like I was making a potentially new friend :) everyone I encountered at the office seemed very genuine and sweet. I will definitely book another surf lesson again when I’m back in town and finally be able to balance on the board! I can’t let Ricardo down 🤙🏽

I had a great time doing surf lessons here! Our instructor was very knowledgable and I even was able to get up twice. I didn’t even realise that there was a photographer taking my picture during my experience, and he got some totally awesome pictures. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something unique while in San Diego!

Couldn't have had a better experience! We had a last minute emergency and had to ask for a new time for our surf lessons and we were met with understanding and flexibility! Jacqory was our instructor and was the absolute best! I definitely recommend this experience.
