I will guide you through an hour and fifteen minute vinyasa class. We will strengthen and lengthen the body through a series of postures. Modifications will be provided in each pose making this class accessible for all levels of practice. We will practice meditation in motion to empower our bodies and calm the mind. I will teach to the pillars of yoga: foundation, dristi (vision), tapas (inner fire), vinyasa (flow) and ujjayi (breath). In the sequence of the practice, we will move to awaken, balance, ground, ignite, open, restore and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. Whether you are tense from stress or stiff from traveling, this practice will help you be more at ease in your own body.
My name is Julie and I am a RYT 200 Vinyasa Yoga teacher. I love yoga and traveling! I completed my teacher training in the states in 2016 and have lived in Madrid for almost 4 years. I would love to have the opportunity to guide you through practice in one of the must see places in Madrid: Retiro Park! Whether in Madrid for business or pleasure, the class will help you strengthen and lengthen your body. We will walk just 5 minutes to an area of the park that has trees for a bit of shade if the weather is warm. If it happens to be cool, we can walk further to another area with fewer trees and enjoy the warmth of the sun. After class, feel free to ask me for recommendations for places to go like restaurants, museums or bars. We can go to a cafe nearby to have a cup of tea or juice to chat. (This beverage is not included in the price.)
