We meet in the late afternoon on time for the golden and blue hour shots.
We start by moving to one of the many jaw-dropping viewpoints Lisbon has to offer, to catch the last light falling over the city and experience the beginning of the night while artificial light takes over the fading daylight.
With beautiful images of the Lisbon skyline on our memory cards, we will walk through alleys and staircases to work with calm and shoot lovely pictures while keeping a good chat about photography and the city. Some Trams and beautiful cobblestone streets also part of the fun.
The goal of this experience will be to create beautiful images to take home with you and learn some technics and tips to help you master those night shots, sometimes not so easy to achieve.
During the Experience, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills in, among other areas:
- Night Photography (Equipment and basic techniques)
- Use of tripod in night photography
- Night-time street photography
- Long exposure photography
- Panning and movement
- High ISO and low light photography
The group will always be small, as the maximum availability is six guests.

Other things to note
Despite a photo camera and a tripod being the best kit for this experience, It's perfectly fine if you prefer to use your Smartphone and you will have a great time and learn new tricks and technics.

I'm Miguel, a Portuguese professional photographer.
I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I still live with my family.
Traveling, surfing, and photography are the activities that I' m passionate about.
In the late '80s, after studying photography here in Lisbon, I started working as a studio assistant photographer. The street and the outdoors was always my preferred workplace, and I quit the studio to become a freelance photographer, and since then, I had the chance to work with multiple clients from all areas.
In 2017 I started leading photo walks around Lisbon as a way to share my passion for photography and for the city where I had the luck to be born, which makes the perfect canvas for excellent photography.

Excellent tour walking through downtown Lisbon and stopping to take photos of anything you find interesting. Miguel is an expert and helped me get the right setup for perfect photos. He also taught me new techniques to capture interesting photos.

It was great to go around Lisbon shooting photos with Miguel. He knows well the city and is a great photographer. He shared some nice tricks with us . I got great shots of tramways, Christmas ligths and hidden corners of the city, both with my camera and with the phone. I would highly recommend.

The night photography was a very fun experience.
Miguel clearly knew both the city and cameras.
I would not have ventured into the back streets of Lisbon on my own, but felt very comfortable doing it with Miguel as a guide. He was thoughtful, informative, and a wonderful host. I learned quite a bit about photography from him.
