I will start with a brief explanation of the essence of washoku (Japanese cuisine) I will talk about the culture, the traditions, the history and of course the ingredients.
After you have heard the theory you will get into practice, the real hands on part of the experience. It is very easy, and definitely supper tasty!
We will start preparing the toppings, the we will put them in the mold, Press and done!
Now is the best part. Eat!
Miso soup and salad will be served also.
In total we will make two to four variations according to the number of participants.
Other things to note
The class is basically in English but I understand basic Mandarin.

The site is my apartment. It is located in front of the historical site (Sogenji temple stone gate, an important cultural asset of Okinawa). We will walk together from the station. It takes about 10 minutes from the station.
Masumi’s class is fun and inspiring. There were three participants although Masumi normally allows up to four. We each prepared a pressed-sushi dish. Masumi provided first-rate ingredients including an excellent pressure-cooked brown rice. The pressed sushi approach allows for some marvelous creativity and variety. The class is perfect for those who prefer a plant-based diet but anyone who enjoys sushi, vegetables and Japanese flavorings will enjoy this class. Masumi is incredibly warm and friendly. We all shared in the dishes that we created and Masumi also provided a great miso soup and salad to accompany our lunch. I highly recommend this experience.
