I will introduce you to our concept and garden, and we'll discuss how lives are connected through cooking. I will show you around our rooftop garden and acquaint you with the real plants—which you may have never seen—that give us Thai herbs, such as kaffir lime, chives, lime, lemon grass, banana leaves, and ginger. I'll then give a private cooking class with your choice of two menus. When we're finished with our cooking class, we'll enjoy eating what you've prepared.
Other things to note
This is homestyle cooking—we are not chefs or a culinary school. We want you to understand how Thais normally cook at home. The food we'll serve is everyday real Thai food and, of course, it's yummy.

My background is in petroleum engineering and I worked globally on the rigs. As my true passion was to connect with people and cook for them, I studied for my Thai chef certificate. A couple of years ago, I opened the Hom Hostel & Cooking Club to connect lives through cooking. Every day at Hom, we have a free demo to show our guests how to cook Thai food. We also have a rooftop garden where guests can learn about Thai herbs. We—my team and I—would love for non-resident guests to a private class where they can get hands-on experience and understand the Hom(e) concept of cooking.

We will meet and cook at our place. You'll learn about our rooftop garden and how we grow plants in the midst of a city and in a green space you can actually see from the Skytrain.

The class is informal and just like learning to cook at home. She was able to explain each step and ingredients, helping us in understanding its effect to the dishes. Pim had a very good spirit and a good way at explaining how to cook pad thai and tom yum soup. We and our small son enjoyed our private (we were the only participants that day) cooking experience and left delighted and well fed :-) The garden is a wonderful place!

My cooking experience with Pim together with my family was truly enjoyable and a nice bonding activity for families . It was a good learning experience specially for newbies like us. Pim was very patient in guiding us on how to cook. The herb garden was was very inspiring as well ! It made this experience very unique. She shared the concept of their business Overall this experience is highly recommended. We had so much fun! Special thanks also to Bruna for taking nice photos and videos of us during the activity.
