Join Personal Trainer Lauren Shuster as she guides you through an introduction to the ELDOA method for back, neck and shoulder pain.
ELDOA is a series of postural exercises that you can do at home with the primary goal being to increase the space within a chosen articulation of joint. As the ELDOAS create more space between the spinal discs, the spine can become more functional and healthier. The postures can increase blood flow, reduce pressure on the discs, allow for spinal rehydration, better muscle tone and improved posture.
This workshop will kick off with a brief introduction to ELDOA followed by some breath work to improve the outcome of the postures. Next we will move into learning the main ELDOAS in the workout portion. Participants will leave the workshop with the tools to decrease their back pain. A handout of the exercises will be delivered post workshop. All you’ll need to participate is a mat and pillow/bolster.
The ELDOA method was created by Guy Voyer, a French Osteopath. Guy was determined to find the root cause of back pain and develop a way patients could take health into their own hands with exercise. Through years of research and his own practice, ELDOA was born.
Instructor Lauren Shuster has 18 years in the fitness industry with certifications in ELDOA, Yoga and Core Training. She uses a mind/body therapeutic approach to fitness with clients.

Lauren has spent almost half her life in the fitness industry coaching clients by way of a holistic approach to fitness. Her private and group training method includes: teaching clients proper breathing techniques, core strengthening/core awareness and therapeutic exercises so that they can feel stronger, move more freely and manage/heal their injuries and pain. Lauren completed her ELDOA 1 and 2 certification in January of 2020 after using the technique to significantly reduce her back pain from arthritis and disc degeneration. She currently teaches ELDOA online and hopes to share this amazing technique with others.

This is a great way to start or end your day by stretching and breathing through body awareness. Lauren leads the class in a upbeat and knowledgeable way. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was amazed at how quickly the time passed. Highly recommend.

Lauren is super knowledgeable about Eldoa , it's different techniques and how each exercise affects each part of your body. She made sure that her guests understood the benefits as well by showing us pictures of the human anatomy as well. I had no clue what Eldoa was before this experience, but I can already see some of the benefits from doing it once. I had this constant tightness and pain in my neck region that wouldn't go away. I've tried stretching and massaging the area before with very little relief. After one session of Eldoa, I can already feel the difference. The pain and tightness has reduced and hasn't come back, event the next day. I'm going to continue practicing the techniques I learned and I highly recommend this experience!

If you can do this experience, you most definitely should. Lauren is an excellent host and is super knowledgeable about Eldoa and how different movements affect the human body and why (with the help of charts and explanations). Being a newbie to Eldoa I was able to quickly see the benefits from doing it just once. Sitting at a desk for most of the day, I generally end up with tightness in the neck and the shoulder region. After this experience, I felt so much better. I'm going to incorporate what I learnt here on a daily basis and I'd highly recommend this experience to everyone!

it was an amazing experience to learn about the various exercises and stretches of the body for helping relieve back pain and also feel better. The movements and stretches shown by Lauren were very effective and helpful in making my body feel better and relieved. Lauren also showed charts of several body parts and explained how pain occurs and what causes it. So, it was really a huge learning experience.
