體驗簡介
The Experience is entirely outside, please bring a Mask as Museums have a 'Mask on' policy, even in the gardens.
We will do a Tour the garden of Fondation Beyeler, then go up the 24-stop Walking path to the vineyards with stunning Views over Basel and then head down to the Vitra Campus with a small Tour of the different buildings there, too.
We start by the fountain of the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen, meet each other and walk through the ground of the Fondation to see the 3 main works of Art, the Gazebo as well as the structure of the building of the Beyeler itself.
By going towards the North-side of the building we will also see the Art Restoring Area -main income of the Fondation- and work going on there, too.
Then we start on the 24-stop Hike of Thomas Rehberger, which runs over the Wiese river, up the hill towards the vineyards with stunning views over Basel towards the Vitra Campus. Its 24 pieces of Art will guide us along the way: it starts with a Bell and it ends with a Bell, too, and in between we have a Mural, Beehives, Binoculars to see the view, a Water Fountain and a climb-up High Chair and more...
After ±5kms of the walking Path, we will arrive at the Vitra Campus where we will go round the different buildings there, see their design and functionality within the Vitra Campus.
You will then leave with views & appreciation of the art-full surroundings of Basel.

Hi,
I'm Jo, born in London,
after living in 10 different countries, working as a Teacher,
I arrived to Basel 3 years ago from Geneva and have been guiding groups of people in the Swiss mountains as well as showing Art Exhibitions in the 3 neighbouring countries here: France, Germany and Switzerland.
This Experience combines the Best of Both =>
seeing and touching Art outside, going for a luvly Walk and stunning Views over Basel, all in Nature.
The Museum of the Fondation Beyeler is my neighbour, I live right next door, spent hours just sitting in the gardens and these vineyards is where I walk every day of the year....
I look forward to hosting you for the Arty Walk,
meeting you and making Sure you will enjoy the Walk,
all the Art and the stunning Views as much as I have over the last 3 years: Be Happy & Be Merry.

The Fondation Beyeler was designed by Renzo Piano: the gardens with pieces of Art have been placed to highlight the building and its function.
The 24-stop Walking Path brings us on the lower part of Tüllinger Hill through the vineyards with a stunning 180degree View over Basel City. You can see all the buildings of Basel pop up and can then identify accordingly.
The buildings in the Vitra Campus also have hidden signs of the different Architect.

Although we could not experience the full tour (borders with Germany being closed to tourism), we had a wonderful time: Jo-Anna is lovely and knowledgeable, we learnt interesting facts about the area and the Foundation Beyeler and the walk is really nice!
