體驗簡介
We will begin our experience by by walking through the streets of Ottakring. I will give you information about the area and why it is a vibrant part of Vienna. Here you will glimpse locals enjoying the sunshine and sipping on coffee. Then we will visit a a string of vendors in the Brunnenmarket, existing since the early 1800´s and offering over 150 stands, lining 5 street blocks. On the list are a well-known marmelade shop, fresh fruit and vegetable vendors, Turkish bakeries with fire-burning ovens, flower, spice & cheese stands, live fish tanks, jewellery shops and whatever catches your eye on this wonderful walk. The market is open 6 days a week, all year round. I can also recommend a place for lunch after our feet grow tired and the experience is over. If time permits we will walk into the neighboring district and walk along a lovely street lined with local businesses offering typical austrian goods until we reach the University campus. Please note: This is not a historical tour, I am happy to share my knowledge of the area and also show the modern and daily life of locals.
Other things to note
We will walk 4 blocks from Yppenplatz through almost the entire Brunnen Market. There are many options of vendors to visit and you can choose where you would like to stay longer.

Brunnenmarkt is my neighborhood! I have lived here for almost 10 years and know the area in great detail. We set up a successful gastronomy business here in 2009 and as a result we are familiar with the local products and vendors. With me, you will have a chance to discover an area of Vienna little known to tourists but definitely worth the visit. I speak english, german and spanish fluently and would be happy to be your host during this experience. I recommend to do this near the beginning of your visit to Vienna so you find some affordable places to eat and enjoy the city!

The area surrounding Brunnenmarkt is the most international part of the city, offering a real glimpse of local life. Tourists often miss the opportunity to visit this area known for it´s lower prices and mix of cultural influences. There is a possibilty to purchase locally made products. Also special is the chance to experience Vienna in the open-air, at the same time blending in with those who live here. Many guests return!

Ich habe mich bei Marla wie ein Freund oder guter Bekannter gefühlt, der ihr interessantes, multikulturelles Stadtviertel kennenlernen durfte. Wir haben uns sehr gut und persönlich unterhalten! I truly enjoyed myself with Mala. We both are extremely independent and have traveled/lived all over the world. Felt like I was hanging out with a good girlfriend. I liked seeing this district (16th) but didn't necessarily feel that the experience was unique. We walked through the Brunnenmarket (great prices on fruit/veg and some yummy Turkish breads that resemble pizza for literally 1 euro). Went to BIPA and Hofer to discover where locals shop for discount cosmetics and groceries and she pointed out the local community center where a poetry reading was going on. Heard throughout the weekend on other tours that this is an up and coming area and gaining desirability for living as it's affordable. However, didn't go anywhere that I didn't see elsewhere - even the Night Market resembled Brunnen at a higher cost. And "SoHo" threw me off being from the NYC area and expecting to be in a similar type area, i.e. boutique shops, highly artistic, upscale in a "cool" way, up and coming restaurants - this area was not what I know as SoHo.

Unfortunately I booked the experience at the Boxing Day. Although the shops were not all opening, Ms Mala still made a wonderful mini tour for me. We walked around the colorful city blocks and had some drinks in a Turkish cafe bar. She introduced me many traditional things in Europe countries. A lot of pretty buildings appeared when in walking.

Thank you Mala. Very enjoyable morning walk around the area. I got to see a few intetesting local shops which I would most likely missed if walking by myself. Mala was attentive and sharing and fun to chat with. Though first time in Vienna, I feel like visiting an old friend.

Mala provided a great and informative introduction into Vienna, a different side of city life just as beautiful and fascinating as the facades of the baroque architecture that tourists see within the first district. She is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the popular places frequented by Viennese citizens and it gave me a richer experience and appreciation for how to best enjoy the city as Viennese locals would
