At Dysvik Farm we run milk production. In summer, most cows and calves are free in the mountains with GPS collars. We go several times a week to visit them, either to relocate them or just make sure they're all right and give them a little snack. This is usually a trip that takes anywhere from 1-4 hours, depending on how long away they are. If you want to go for a walk in nature and meet free roaming cows, sign up and join us :)

Dysvik farm is a tradition Norwegian farm that has been in the family for 10 generations, we are a dairy production Farm.
Now I Knut Dysvik runs the Farm with the help of my son Ragnar who will take over. We have long experience with animals and farm life and we try every day and give our animals a good life.

We will go up in the mountain and go off the normal tourist routs and look to find our cow herd of cows and calfs.

This experience became one of my family’s favorite memories of our trip to Norway. After a short drive, we hiked through beautiful mountains in search of the herd of cows with our host Knut & his son, Ragnar. They were a pleasure to be around & soon felt like old friends as they explained all about their daily lives and dairy operation. Before long, we were face to face with some very friendly and rather beautiful cows on a mountain top. After getting our fill of pets, licks and pics, we hiked back down (while Ragnar distracted the cows eager to join us) and had some traditional Norwegian food at a table looking over a beautiful valley & lake. Would absolutely recommend and encourage those who want to do the experience as well as stay at their Air Bnb! We got a tour and were jealous of the next guests. Great hosts!!
